About me

A devoted fan and player of Canada’s national pastime, hockey, Ontario native Patrick McEachen has played for teams in the Ontario Minor Hockey Association, the Ontario Junior A Hockey League, the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL), and the Greater Toronto Hockey League, as well as for St. Brother André Catholic High School in Markham, Ontario. Since first strapping on skates at age two, the defenseman has risen through the minor league ranks to become an all-star team selection, a captain, and a top-scoring defenseman. On the Junior A Hockey Stouffville Spirit, McEachen led the team, becoming captain at the age of 17. During this period, he represented Team East in the Canada Junior A Hockey League National Hockey League (NHL) Prospects game on Prince Edward Island and played in the 2010 Battle of Ontario All-Star game in Pembroke. The NHL Central Scouting Bureau placed his name on the Players to Watch list in 2008, and five NHL teams interviewed him prior to the NHL draft in 2009. Playing for the CCHL Junior A Hockey Wellington Dukes in 2009-2010, Patrick McEachen served as Co-Captain and earned top-scoring defenseman honors in the CCHL playoffs in 2010.

Following a fruitful season as the Wellington Dukes’ defensive scoring leader, Patrick McEachen signed with the Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors of the Ontario Hockey League. In addition to his goal of playing professional hockey, he plans to become a successful businessman one day. Therefore, he currently pursues a Bachelor of Arts in Economics at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. McEachen enjoys listening to country music, particularly Alan Jackson’s songs; reading suspense novels, such as those written by Robert Ludlum; and volunteering at The Salvation Army. A dedicated sports fan, Patrick McEachen follows the Toronto Blue Jays, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Toronto Raptors and enjoys golfing and working out.
